KarenLangWestfall unfortunately I don't have much experience working with clients who've been told they have slow or fast twitch muscles. I've only encountered clients who's diet's and training needed to be adjusted simply because they weren't conducive to their goals and/or the diet and training didn't compliment each other. It really come down to choosing one very specific goal. For instance, if you're goal is fast loss then you'd want to focus on a diet that helps shed fat, like Carb Nite, and then your training would compliment the diet. But if your goal was to build or was performance oriented then you'd want to choose a training program that suited that goal and then fuel the training with the appropriate diet. So perhaps, since you've discovered the way your muscles fire you could find a training program that was created for those muscles and then compliment the training with your diet. Does that make sense?

Hi I was wondering since I started training I found some things out about myself on why I was having so much trouble with my results.I do carb cycling right now but I found out that with my training I have slow twitch muscles and having a whole lot of trouble with results. So with slow twitch muscles I've read that my fuel is more of a triglycerides. Not sure if this makes a different in what I should be eating , on top of always training to encourage the fast twitch muscles .Just want to encourage my body to work for me.Does age factor it also.
